2026 BBCF Arts & Community Grant Cycle - Applications open: January 20
The Black Belt Community Foundation (BBCF) holds a yearly Arts and Community Grants Cycle, offering arts grants ranging from $500 to $3,500 to support arts organizations across BBCF’s 12-county service area which includes Bullock, Choctaw, Dallas, Greene, Hale, Lowndes, Macon, Marengo, Perry, Pickens, Sumter and Wilcox counties in Alabama’s Black Belt region and community grants ranging from $500 to $5,000 to support community-based organizations and non-profits in the BBCF service area. We are eager to see the creative initiatives that will be fostered through this funding. Applications are officially open. The application period closes on Friday, February 6, at 5pm CST. To apply for a 2026 BBCF Arts & Community Grant, click the ‘Apply Now’ tab and follow the instructions. The grant cycle will culminate in an Arts and Community Grant Awards Ceremony scheduled for April 25, 2026 celebrating the achievements and contributions of grant recipients.

Use the button below to access BBCF’s online grant portal, powered by Foundant.

 

You will be taken to the Foundant login page, where you will sign in using your existing username and password or create an account if you are a new user.

 

When the 2026 Arts and Community Grants application goes live on January 20 at 12:00 a.m. (CST), applicants will use a county access code within the portal to open the application.

 

Important notes:

  • County access codes will not be shared publicly. First-time applicants are required to attend a Grantseekers Workshop to receive access.
  • Previous grantees will receive their county access codes directly via email.

The Black Belt Community Foundation (BBCF) is celebrating the impact of its 2025 combined Arts & Community Grant cycle across all 12 counties it serves in the Alabama Black Belt region. Community-based organizations from Bullock, Choctaw, Dallas, Greene, Hale, Lowndes, Macon, Marengo, Perry, Pickens, Sumter, and Wilcox Counties applied for grants with the opening of the granting cycle in January. A total of $344,447.20 will be awarded through 141 different one-year long project grants to 126 different community organizations that are significantly impacting their communities in transformative ways that contribute to the strength, innovation and success of Black Belt citizens and said communities.
