Kenneth Webb

My name is Kenneth Webb, and I have lived in the Black Belt (Hale County—Sawyerville, AL) for eighteen years. I finished high school and college in the Black Belt area. I love the area and I want to be apart of any movement to maintain the heritage and improve the structure to facilitate economic and cultural development. I have accepted the challenge and calling to teach youth.

My parents are John Clarence and Frances Webb. I am the youngest of eight. I have three sisters: Malinda Robinson, Vera Webb, and Denise Williams. I have two brothers: Clarence Webb and John Webb. My older sister Viola baby and older brother Samuel baby both died some years ago. Also, I have eleven nephews, four nieces, five great nieces, and one great great niece.

I am an active member of the New First Baptist Church in Sawyerville, AL where I serve as Youth Director. I am involved with my community tutorial programs, mentor program, and the community music ministry. I am presently employed at Westlawn Middle School in Tuscaloosa, AL. I taught nine years in the Hale County School System, and I taught three years in Sumter County at the University of West AL as adjunct faculty. I also teach evening Mathematics Courses for Concordia College Selma. It is evident that I do love the black Belt.
