Cecil P Williamson

Cecil P. Williamson has been a member of the Black Belt Community Foundation for 3 years and serves as Treasurer and a member of the Grant Committee. She serves the City Of Demopolis as its Mayor. She is a member of the executive board of the Black Belt Mayors Association. Cecil serves on the Small Business Commission of the Governor of Alabama’s Black Belt Action Commission. She is an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Demopolis and currently serves on the Vestry and is an Adult Sunday School teacher. She holds a certificate from the University of the South for Education for Ministry and a certificate from the Diocese of South Carolina for the Ministry of Spiritual Direction.

Cecil has lived in the Black Belt most of her life and understands the people and their potential. When this talent is combined with the resources available a positive future for the area is a given.

She and her husband Wayne have been married 41 years and have 4 children and 2 grandchildren. In her free time she enjoys friends, flower arranging, reading and blue grass music.
