Evette Woods is currently employed at the Black Belt Community Foundation as the Office Administrator. She has worked in customer service, medical billing, and most recently at Black Belt Treasures, where she spent six years as the assistant gallery manager.  While at Black Belt Treasures, she had the opportunity to meet and work with artists, musicians, authors, and professionals from throughout Alabama’s Black Belt. It was during this time that she gained an appreciation and understanding for what makes this rich cultural region so unique.

Evette is a 2011 graduate of Wallace Community College in Selma, AL with an Associates degree in Business Administration, and will attend Faulkner University in the fall of 2011 to pursue a bachelor degree in business.  She is a proud graduate of Your Town Alabama 2010.

Evette Woods is the daughter of Ethel Salter of Camden, AL.  She resides in Camden with her husband, and three children.  She is an active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Camden.  She also serves as president for the local chapter of Thrivent for Lutherans, is active in Wilcox County’s elementary, middle, and high school PTO’s, Black Belt Treasures Book Club, and is a member of the Wilcox County Chamber of Commerce.
