Erica Williams
Erica Shonte’ Williams is the daughter of Willie and Patricia Tatum of Sardis, Alabama. Erica was born in Gary, Indiana and moved around most of her childhood life, living in Chicago, Illinois, Dallas, Texas and then settling down North Kansas City, Missouri. Erica graduated from North Kansas City High School in North Kansas City, Missouri, after graduating attended Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama and is currently a senior at Concordia College of Selma, Alabama in which she is seeking a dual degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.
She has worked as a children’s librarian at the Selma/Dallas County Public Library, Administrative Assistant at the historic St. James Hotel, in Selma, Alabama. She was the Secretary/bookkeeper at Brantley Elementary School. Erica is currently employed as the Assistant to the Executive Director of the newly established Black Belt Community Foundation which serves 12 counties in the Alabama Black Belt region.
Erica’s community involvement includes chairperson of the North Dallas Head Start Program for two years and a Head Start Policy Council Member for Dallas County for one year. She is a member of New Shiloh Baptist Church of Sardis, Alabama.
Erica is the mother of a wonderful five year old daughter, Keyondra.
